BEGIN THE PROCESS OF CERTIFICATION

The 31-week MentorCoach Foundations Program is intended to get you up and running with a coaching practice. And in fact, many of our graduates have built thriving coaching practices having taken only Foundations.

However, you may want to go further and become certified, and we will fully support you in this. What does this involve? In part, taking 125 hours of coach specific training.

MentorCoach offers our own certification as a Certified MentorCoach.

In addition, our certification leads to certification as an ICF certified coach. Our training program has been awarded the International Coach Federation’s Accredited Coach Training Program designation. Thus The MentorCoach Certificate Program meets the academic requirements for becoming both an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC).

SPECIAL NOTE ON ATTENDANCE: To receive a Certificate of Completion and/or for Foundations to count toward your requirements to become a Certified MentorCoach (and an ICF Certified Coach), you need to be present for 80% of the classes (25 of the 31 classes). Every class is recorded, so you will always have a 100% record of the class. But listening to a recording does not count as being present in the class. If for some reason you should end up being present for fewer than the required 25 classes, there’s no problem. We will work with you to make up the missed classes. You can simply sit in on the requisite number of missed classes—at no charge—in a future Foundations class until you’ve been present for the required 25 classes.

*About the acronyms. While all Foundations courses have identical content, each one is numbered differently. MCP stands for MentorCoach Program. The first Foundations course we offered was “MCP 1”. The second was “MCP 2”, and so on. Thus if a Foundations course were called “MCP 300”, it would refer to the 300th cohort of students who had gone through the Foundations program.

*About the scheduling. A new Foundations course begins each month of the year, generally during the last week of the month. The time of the class alternates between day and evening times. So, for example, let’s assume that in Month 1 the Foundations class is at 12:00 pm Eastern. In Month 2, the next Foundations class would then be at 8:00 pm Eastern. In Month 3, the next Foundations class would then be at 12:00 pm Eastern, etc.
