FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need coaching experience before enrolling? No. Level One is designed for people new to professional coaching. We’ll teach you from the ground up using evidence-based methods.
What if I’m already coaching without credentials? Level One formalizes the skills you’ve been developing and provides the education hours required for ACC certification. Many experienced coaches use this pathway to finally get credentialed.
How is MentorCoach different from other ICF-accredited programs? We’re the only major training organization built entirely on positive psychology. You’ll learn the research behind coaching techniques, not just the techniques themselves. Our faculty maintain active practices. Our graduates report that MentorCoach training fundamentally changed how they coach.
Can I complete this program while working full-time? Yes. Most students maintain full-time employment during the program. Expect 8-10 hours per week including live sessions, reading, practice coaching, and assignments.
What happens after I complete Level One? You’ll receive a certificate of completion and be eligible to apply for your ACC credential through ICF. We coordinate your performance evaluation and support your credential application. Most students receive their ACC within 3-4 months of program completion, provided all other requirements are met.
Is financial aid available? We offer payment plans and fellowships. We also accept employer tuition reimbursement.
What technology do I need? A computer with reliable internet, webcam, and microphone. We use Zoom for live sessions and a learning platform for course materials. All platforms are user-friendly and include technical support.
Can I take courses at my own pace? The program follows a cohort model with scheduled live sessions. This creates community and accountability. Some flexibility exists for asynchronous work, but live session attendance is required.
What if I need to miss a session? Sessions are recorded for makeup viewing, though live attendance is strongly encouraged. We accommodate reasonable absences due to illness, work conflicts, or personal emergencies.
Will I have clients to practice with? We’ll teach you how to find practice clients. Most students coach friends, colleagues, or people in their networks. Some students advertise pro bono coaching to build their practice portfolio.
How is MentorCoach accredited? MentorCoach holds Level 1 accreditation from the International Coaching Federation. This means our Level One program meets all ICF education requirements for ACC certification.
What’s your refund policy? Full refund if you withdraw before the first session. Prorated refund for withdrawals within the first two weeks. No refunds after Week 3. See enrollment agreement for complete details.

ACCREDITATION
MentorCoach is approved by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) as an Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) at Level 1. The Level One program meets all ICF education requirements for Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certification.
ICF Accreditation ensures our curriculum, faculty qualifications, learning outcomes, and assessment methods meet global coaching standards. Graduates of ICF-accredited programs are eligible for expedited credential processing and demonstrate completion of coach-specific training.
