Barry Schwartz
Barry Schwartz is the Dorwin
Cartwright Professor of Social Theory and Social Action in the Psychology
Department at Swarthmore College, where he has taught for more than 30
years. He is the author of ten books and more than 100 articles. His most
recent book, "The Paradox of Choice: Why More is Less" (Ecco, 2004) has
been featured in publications as diverse as Parade Magazine, USA Today,
Scientific American, The New Yorker, Newsweek, The New York Times, Psychology
Today, and The Independent (London), and Schwartz has appeared on Morning
Edition, The Lehrer News Hour, The Tavis Smiley Show, Anderson Cooper 360,
and many local radio and television shows in the U.S. and in Europe
